Caribbean Spec Miata Series Round 2 (2024)

After an exhilarating round one of the Caribbean Spec Miata Series (CSMS), we now have a clearer picture of this season's top performers. Among them is Liam Bartlett, who made an impressive start to the CSMS. Not to be outdone, seasoned competitors like David Coelho, Justin Wortman, and Michael Rostant continue to keep spectators on the edge of their seats.

Round two brought mixed fortunes. Unfortunately, it wasn't Liam Bartlett's day, as mechanical issues sidelined him. Meanwhile, Craig Sumair, is still gathering data to fine tune his setup. Once he finds his groove, it'll be exciting to see where he stands on the grid.

Race one of round two was an intense battle, culminating in a podium finish for David Coelho, Justin Wortman, and Christian Hospedales. Race two provided a golden opportunity for Michael Rostant. With an incredibly stable and consistent drive, he clinched 1st place, followed by David Coelho in 2nd and Justin Wortman in 3rd. Both David and Justin showed their consistency as comfortable podium finishers.

The final race of round two was perhaps the most thrilling of the day. Justin Wortman got off to an amazing start, quickly pulling away and leaving the rest to fight for the remaining podium spots. Michael Rostant tried to hold onto another podium finish but had to concede to a determined Ryan Peyrau. The real surprise came from Brandon Singh, who kept an excellent pace and sneakily grabbed 3rd place when it was within reach.

Overall, round two was an action-packed day of racing. Originally postponed due to Hurricane Beryl, it was a relief to have dry weather, though the scorching heat added another layer of challenge for the drivers.

With two rounds down, the 2024 CSMS season is shaping up to be one for the books.
